Functional FAQ

  • What documents are supported? eSign supports most Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central documents. eg. Sales Orders, Sales Invoices, Sales Credit Memos, Purchase Orders, Purchase Invoices, Purchase Credit Memos, Shipment Documents (more can be created by the user).
  • Does eSign store any sensitive information? ie. Documents, PDFs Yes it stored signature images which are securely held within the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central database.
  • I already have a Signature Capture system. Can I migrate my data over to eSign? Yes, this is possible. Business Central caters to some data import routines or alternatively we can help you do this as part of our implementation service.
  • Is GDPR a consideration? Yes, signatures will be stamped with a timestamp. This means any expired "GDPR" signatures can easily be identified and removed from the system.
  • Technical FAQ

    • What devices are supported? All the same devices that standard Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central work with - Web, Tablet and Phone.
    • How long does it take to install and implement? Typically only an hour or two. eSign comes with a Setup wizard out of the box. We also offer an implementation service to set this up for you.
    • Can eSign be uninstalled? Yes, it is a simple process of navigating to "Extensions" and pressing the "Uninstall" option. This way you can easily decouple the eSign system from standard Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central system.
    • How are upgrades handled? Upgrades are released in line with standard Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central updates. It would just be a case of installing the latest version of the application and letting the application install process do it's thing. This should only take a matter of minutes to perform.
